Creating Opportunities Through Education and Business Support

At the Asian Community Development Center (ACDC), we believe everyone deserves the chance to learn, grow, and succeed. Too often, people in immigrant, Asian American, and underserved communities run into barriers—whether that’s not knowing where to start, struggling to find resources, or feeling shut out of opportunities. Our role is straightforward: we’re here to help remove those barriers and provide people with the tools and support they need to move forward.

We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to creating access—making sure cost, background, or lack of connections don’t stop someone from reaching their goals. Whether it’s through learning new technical skills, building confidence in the job market, or receiving guidance for a small business, our programs are designed to be practical and approachable.

Education plays a significant role in what we do. We offer courses designed to help people gain skills that matter in today’s world. Our Technology Pathway Course covers a range of topics, including digital basics, coding, data analytics, and an introduction to AI. For those interested in business, our Business Pathway Course dives into entrepreneurship, marketing, leadership, and finance. Classes are guided by experienced facilitators who make the lessons relatable, and participants finish with a Certificate of Completion to recognize their work.

We also work closely with small business owners and entrepreneurs. Running a business comes with challenges—especially in areas such as digital marketing, cybersecurity, or data management. That’s where our consulting and resources come in. We offer hands-on guidance, workshops, and tools to help local businesses not just survive, but grow stronger and more sustainable.

What really makes ACDC special is the community behind it. Our learners, entrepreneurs, and volunteers create an environment where people encourage and support one another. Volunteers often mentor students, lead discussions, or share their skills with business owners. And the impact shows—whether it’s someone landing a job, a student gaining confidence with technology, or a local business finally finding its footing.

There are many ways to get involved. You can take a course, connect with us for business support, volunteer your time and skills, or help keep our programs going by donating. Every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen the community and creates opportunities for more people.

At the end of the day, our mission is about equity and empowerment. We know the system doesn’t always make it easy for everyone to succeed. That’s why we’re here—to make sure more people have access to the education, guidance, and resources they need to thrive.
