Audience: High school students (and parents), grades 9–12, who are exploring college pathways and want early exposure to academic, career, and personal success skills. 

Purpose of the Webinar: This webinar introduces the Education Department’s integrated support model designed to help high school students make informed academic and career decisions while building essential study, life, and emotional skills needed for college success.

Overview of Services/Pathways: 

Learning Pathways (Career Exploration Courses)

These short courses introduce students to foundational concepts in Technology, Business, and Psychology

  • Goal: Help students understand what they would actually study in college majors. 

  • Students gain early exposure to terminology, skills, and real-world applications. 

  • Supports informed decision-making about future degree choices. 

Academic Coaching Pathway

This pathway focuses on building core academic success skills, including: 

  • Time management 

  • Study strategies 

  • Goal-setting and motivation 

  • Academic confidence and self-discipline 
    Designed to help students become independent, organized, and effective learners. 

Mental Health & Well-Being Pathway 

This pathway provides workshops and psychoeducation on topics such as: 

  • Stress management 

  • Emotional regulation 

  • Mental health issues 

  • Building resilience 

  • Healthy coping strategies 
    The focus is preventive, educational, and skill-based—not therapy. 

College Readiness Pathway

This pathway prepares students for the transition to college life by covering: 

  • Self-discovery leading to informed career decisions 

  • College Admissions Preparation 

  • Communication & Collaboration Skills 

  • Time Management & Self-Enrichment 

  • Identification of co-curriculars to explore in college
