Commitment: ~10 hours per week (U.S. based remote) 
Point of Contact: Business Tech Services Director  

The Volunteer will support research and data collection projects involving publicly available online information. Under the guidance of the department leadership, the Volunteer will assist in the gathering, organizing, and documenting data to support internal nonprofit initiatives.  

 What You’ll Do 

• Research and identify publicly available websites and online sources within assigned categories.  

• Assist with structured data extraction using approved tools (e.g., low-code platforms such as Apify or Phantombuster, and/or Python scripts, when applicable).  

• Help clean, organize, and format collected data.  

• Document sources used, general methods applied, and any challenges encountered. 

What We Look For 

You may be a great fit to support this mission if you have an interest or background in the following: 

• A basic knowledge of web scraping tools or programming logic (such as Python) to assist with digital initiatives. 

• Familiarity with data collection, cleaning, or research methodologies to help the team organize community information. 

• A commitment to being detail-oriented and the ability to document processes clearly for the organization’s internal reference. 

• The ability to stay self-motivated and work independently within a flexible, remote setting. 

• A strong passion for Asian American & immigrant community issues and a desire to contribute to nonprofit work.
