Community engagement volunteer

About the job

Commitment: ~10 hours per week (U.S. remote) 
Reports to: Community Engagement Director  

What you'll do:

  • Identify and reach out to potential partners, including foundations, schools, nonprofits, and businesses, to explore opportunities for collaboration, donations, and grants. 

  • Support the preparation of outreach materials (emails, presentations, pitch decks) that clearly communicate ACDC’s mission, programs, and impact. 

  • Assist in scheduling and participating in partnership meetings with potential donors and collaborators alongside ACDC leadership. 

  • Track outreach efforts and maintain organized records of contacts, follow-ups, and outcomes. 

  • Contribute creative ideas to strengthen ACDC’s relationship-building strategies and improve how we present ourselves to external partners. 

  • Support additional fundraising and grant development initiatives as needed. 

What we're looking for:

  • Interest or experience in business development, fundraising, public relations, or partnership management

  • Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. 

  • Comfort in professional outreach (emails, presentations, etc.) and building long-term relationships. 

  • Familiarity with nonprofit development, grant writing, or donor engagement is a plus. 

  • Reliability and professionalism in following up and representing ACDC in external communications.
